Tens of thousands of people protest in downtown Budapest against the Hungarian government’s policies October 23, 2011, on the 55th anniversary of Hungary’s revolt against Soviet rule. The protesters demanded that the government consult them on major legislation, such as the country’s new Constitution, instead of what they said were an autocratic way of governing.
