About
I was a big firm and then government lawyer, before heading off to travel around the world with my boyfriend, Hugo. We started the trip together in Madrid on October 11, 2010, and headed almost right away to Marrakech, Morocco. We spent about three weeks traveling around Morocco, before taking a ferry from Tangier to Barcelona. After one night there, we took another ferry, this time to Rome. After several days in Rome, we went to Naples for almost a week. Then we took another ferry to Palermo, where we stayed again for about a week, including a couple night side trip out to Cefalu. From Palermo, we flew to Budapest just in time for Thanksgiving. I have family there, so we planned a bit of a longer stay.
At the end of December 2010, we took a week to travel to visit more of my family in Innsbruck, Austria, and Oberaudorf and Grosskarolinenfeld in Germany. During that trip, we also stopped in Vienna, Linz, Kremsmuenster, and Munich. We went back to Budapest for New Years Eve, before heading to India on January 4, 2011.
In India, we visited Mumbai; Palolem and surrounding beaches in Goa; Gokarna and surrounding beaches in Karnataka; and Kochi, Allepey and Periyar (Kumily) in Kerala. We tried, mightily, to extend our stay, but weren’t able to get through. I hope to see more of India soon.
After spending a wonderful week in Bangkok, and then several days on Koh Tao, a week on Koh Phangan, and, unexpectedly, three weeks on Ton Sai beach near Krabi, we went to Cambodia for three weeks. Cambodia completely blew us away.
After then spending nearly two months in Australia, including a fantastic drive/camp down the coast from Brisbane to Sydney, we are now living in Phnom Penh, making it our home base for more travels around Asia.
More? I’m from the San Francisco Bay Area. My parents are Hungarian.
Hugo is from Mexico City; Xochimilco, to be exact.
